The Deccan Odyssey
is much more than a mere luxury train cruise. It's a 'classical
odyssey' of time beyond the realms of the present.
The Deccan Odyssey has
21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars with 4 coupes each.
There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes each car. The
train also has a conference car (can be redesigned as dance floor
in the night) and two restaurant cars. There is also a lounge/bar
car and one surprising addition is a Spa Car. Apart from the above
there are generator cars with luggage store and staff car or spare
car.
The Deccan Odyssey’s sheer luxury is a sight
to behold. Everything in the train reflects the ways of Indian
Royalty. The plush interiors, an awesome cuisine and grate sites
to see makes the journey memorable. This luxurious train
transports its guests on a remarkable sojourn of a land shining in
legions grandeur - serene beaches, magnificent forts & palaces and
experiencing divine tales etched in colossal rocks. A weeklong
royal journey is through some of the best places in Maharashtra
namely Mumbai, Ganapatipule, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Tarkarli,
Sawantwadi, Goa, Kolhapur, Pune, Aurangabad, Ellora, Ajanta and
Nasik. The objective of running “The Deccan Odyssey” train is
primarily to showcase the best of tourism assets of Maharashtra
like pristine beauty of Konkan coast, the art, the culture, the
heritage of Maharashtra (including world heritage sites of Ajanta
& Ellora), as well as Maharashtra’s local arts, crafts and
cuisine.
