Day 1: Wednesday - Delhi
Come aboard the Royal Orient at the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station
and depart at 15:00 hrs. Have your evening tea and dinner and stay on
the luxury train, overnight.
Day 2: Thursday - Chittorgarh
Arrive at Chittorgarh at 05:30 hrs. Visit the Chittorgarh Fort and
come back to the train for breakfast. Leave for Udaipur. Reach Udaipur
at noon and travel to the hotel for lunch. After lunch take a
sightseeing tour around Udaipur. Come back to the Royal Orient and
leave for Mehsana. Have your dinner on board and stay on the Royal
Orient luxury train, overnight.
Day 3 - Friday - Mehsana
Reach Mehsana in Gujarat. Visit the Sun Temple at Modhera, the Rani-ki
Vav and the Patola weaving Center at Patan. Set out for Ahmedabad,
where you have lunch at a hotel. Then take a sightseeing tour of
Ahmedabad. See the Adalaj Vav, Sidi Sayyad Mosque Calico Textile
Museum, and Gandhi Ashram. Come back to the Deccan Odyssey and have
your dinner on board as the train travels to Sasangir.
Day 4 - Saturday - Sasan Gir
Reach Sasangir. Have your breakfast on board and then leave for a tour
of the Gir Lion sanctuary, where you can see the Asiatic Lion. You can
take an optional tour of the Somnath temple. Leave for Delwada. When
you reach Delwada you can go to Ahmedpur-Mandvi beach, Diu Fort and
St. Paul's Cathedral. Come back to the Royal Orient and travel to
Palitana. Have your dinner on board and stay on the Royal Orient
luxury train, overnight.
Day 5 - Sunday - Palitana
Reach Palitana. Take a trip to the Jain temples at Shatrunjaya Hills.
Come back to the train and travel to Sarkhej. Have your lunch on
board. Reach Sarkhej and tour the Vishalla village. Have your dinner
at a hotel and return to the train to stay overnight as it travels to
Udaipur.
Day 6 - Monday -
Udaipur
In the morning the Royal Orient reaches Udaipur. Have breakfast on the
train. Travel to see the Jain Temples at Ranakpur. Have your lunch at
a hotel and come back to Udaipur to the Royal Orient luxury train.
Have your dinner and stay overnight on the train as it travels to
Udaipur.
Day 7 - Tuesday - Jaipur
This morning the train reaches Jaipur. Have breakfast on board then
leave for a tour of Jaipur. In Jaipur you can tour the Hawa Mahal, the
City Palace and Jantar Mantar, take an elephant ride up to Amer Fort
and shop for crafts and ethnic artifacts in Jaipur. Come back to the
Royal Orient luxury Train. Have dinner on board as the train travels
to Delhi.
Day 8 - Wednesday - Delhi
Reach Delhi Cantonment Railway Station at 7:00 in the morning.
Disembark from the Royal Orient Luxury Train at the end of your
memorable train tour.
